Besides to its core gameplay, Canuckle has teamed up with another popular word game, Waffle, to create a unique experience called Canuckle Waffle.
This special collaboration brings Canadian themes and vocabulary into Waffle’s classic format.
Just like the original Waffle, players rearrange letters on a grid in Canuckle Waffle to form words both horizontally and vertically, aiming to solve the puzzle in 15 moves or fewer.
Unlike some word games with daily updates, Canuckle Waffle introduces new puzzles occasionally rather than on a strict daily schedule.
In other words, fresh content is released “once in a while,” making it a treat for players to look forward to.
NB: As a fan of both Canuckle and Waffle, I share daily answers and hints to help fellow enthusiasts who may feel stuck or want to keep their winning streaks alive.

To ensure clarity in the hints and answers, I have divided the Canuckle Waffle grid into two sections: Across and Down grids.
For the Across grids, I use numbers 1, 2, and 3 to refer to rows running from top to bottom—1 being the top row, and 3 being the bottom row.
Similarly, for the Down grids, 1, 2, and 3 refer to columns from left to right—1 being the first column on the left, and 3 being the last column on the right.
Now, let’s get straight to today’s Canuckle Waffle answers.

Let’s dive right in!
What is Canuckle Waffle?
Canuckle Waffle is essentially a fusion of Canuckle and Waffle. The latter being a word game that involves rearranging letters in a grid to form six words within a limited number of moves. A waffle game is similar to Wordle, but with a few key differences:
- Multiple Words: Unlike Wordle, which involves guessing a single five-letter word, Waffle requires players to find six words in a grid of letters
- Color Coding: The game uses a color-coding system to provide clues about the correct placement of letters. Red letters are in the correct position, yellow letters are in the correct word but not in the correct position, and white letters do not belong in that word
- Limited Moves: Players have a maximum of 15 moves to solve the Waffle, with the goal of solving all six words within this limit.
- Grid Structure: The game takes place on a grid with all letters present, unlike Wordle where letters are revealed one by one.
The Canuckle Waffle game is available online and can be played for free.
Tips for Solving Canuckle Waffle Puzzles Quickly
Here are quick tips to help you become better in solving Canuckle Waffle in a few moves:
- Focus on Canadian-Themed Words: Since Canuckle Waffle combines the Canadian-themed Canuckle game with the word-rearranging Waffle, your first priority should be to guess words that are related to Canada. Think of common Canadian terms, cities, provinces, cultural references, and iconic Canadian symbols.
- Leverage Hints provided by the Game’s Color Coding: Pay close attention to the color-coding of the letters. Red letters are in the correct position, yellow letters are in the correct word but not in the right spot, and white letters don’t belong in that word. Use this information to guide your moves.
- Rearrange Letters Strategically: For the Waffle portion of the game, don’t just randomly rearrange the letters. Analyze the available letters and think about common word structures and prefixes/suffixes that could form valid words both horizontally and vertically. Planning your moves ahead of time will save you time
- Look for Easy, Obvious Words: Scan the grid for any obvious patterns or words that can be formed quickly. This will give you a head start on solving the puzzle.
- Focus on the Corners: The corner letters are often a good place to start, as they can provide clues about the words that need to be formed.
- Manage Your Moves: Keep an eye on the move counter and try to solve the puzzle in as few moves as possible. Efficient use of your moves is key to winning the game.
- Look for Overlapping Letters: Identify letters that can be used in multiple words, as this can help you solve the puzzle faster.
- Practice and Experiment: The more you play Waffle, the better you’ll get at recognizing patterns and solving the puzzles quickly. Don’t be afraid to try different strategies and see what works best for you.
