How It Works

One Word Search works like any traditional word search. Once you click the Start Game button, a letter grid is presented. Your task is to swipe across the grid to select consecutive letters that form a 5-letters word. Words can appear horizontally, vertically, diagonally, forwards, or backwards.

The game confirms your selection when you correctly swipe a word. The challenge lies in spotting the word quickly among the distracting letters. That’s all there is to it.

Timer and Scoring System

To track how quickly you solve the puzzle, One Word Search has a behind-the-scenes timer that records the time it takes to find each of the 10 words. The timer isn’t shown during gameplay, keeping the experience relaxed and smooth, but you can choose to display it by toggling the Show Time option in the settings.

The game also uses a star-based scoring system that depends on how fast you find each word:

• 1 minute or less: 5 stars
• 2 minutes or less: 4 stars
• 3 minutes or less: 3 stars
• 4 minutes or less: 2 stars
• More than 4 minutes: 1 star

This system encourages both speed and accuracy while adding a fun competitive element.
